I talk today about how the Bean and I are on the verge of losing the girls we were about to adopt.

I will fill in more details later.  But at 4:00pm today the State of New York decided that everyone involved in our case is wrong and decided that the girls need to be in a different setting.

This means we lost the girls — had them just long enough to fall in love with them.  It also means the girls will be forced to move to another foster home for who knows how long.

Bean is a wreck.

I am livid.

The girls’ social workers are in shock.

We will fight this, but it does not look good.

I want to thank all of you for the kind words and support when this seemed like a beautiful reality.

Sometimes, when it seems too good to be true, it is too good to be true.
