ticket for depression

Listen here

a word of warning. . .

I am depressed today, and thus, so is the show. . .

I start the show with a happy announcement from the Bean

I Hate Sundays.  Hate.

I applaud Jen and Bob from the Pizzababe Goes Global podcast and Tigger from the Tiggercast for their strong words against homophobia and Tim Hardaway.

Homophobia and bigotry affects us all.

Why are we so cruel to each other?

I discuss irony and Madge Weinstein.

I feel sorry for Brittany Spears and Anna Nicole Smith

I am a sad sack today.

I promise to be happy next time. . .

How cruel we are

Listen here.

Today’s show was inspired by Matthew Burlingames’s Spanking Bea Arthur’s Blog.  And his wonderful and powerful post: Fat Fat Fatty Fat

The Bean reads his powerful post.

I talk about growing up and how I did nothing to stop the bullying and cruelty of others.

I discuss how I was pressured to stop my own bullies — and the pain and anxiety it caused.

Why are we all so cruel to each other?

While I abhor Columbine, I can understand why it happened.

We need to address the serious problem of school bullying.

Reminiscing with an old friend

Sunday, January 21st, 2007

Old Friends

Listen here.

My best friend, since kindergarten, reminisce about the old skool days.

We are not proud of the old days. We are very fortunate not to be in prison or dead. We used to laugh about it — now we thank our lucky stars. . .

The Bean is resting comfortably. . .

Wednesday, December 6th, 2006

Sleeping stoned

And stoned out of her mind. . .
The operation was far more successful than the doctor thought it would be. So very good news indeed.

I want to thank all of you, in both the real and cyber world, who have sent kind words and positive mojo.

It worked and I will always be grateful.

Talk to you soon!

Christiaan
