SATURNcast: Rings of Saturn #16

Old Fashioned Podcast GirlListen here.

Today’s show starts before the show even starts.  The world famous Bean overheard me podcasting last night and takes offense to me calling her a “podcast nag.”  So she called my voice mail with a response.  I am a fair person, so I play her response before the show so all of you can make up your mind if she is a nag or not.

I start the official show by playing a clip from FDR.

Remember Chico and the Man?  Remember Jose Feliciano?

TIGGER ARTA give a HUGE HUGE Shout Out to Tigger. He made me some fantastic and thoughtful podcast cover-up.  He did not have to do that, but he did.

I am smitten with Lynette of PB& J Podcast. It makes me lament on how the Bean is a podcast nag. (Bean claims she is not a podcast nag)

I hate the greed of ABC with their Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

George Eastman charity story.

I am a hypocrite and I admit it.

I hate charity balls.

People need to volunteer more.

Try not to give people bad news — or good news.

Going to Paris soon!

Give some good mojo to the Bean — who is scheduled for surgery on December 6.

SATURNcast: Rings of Saturn #15

Friday, November 10th, 2006

JesusYou can listen to Rings of Saturn #15 here.

Today I am pissed. Super pissed.

I start off the show by playing a portion of a speech by President John Kennedy to the press. (music by Smiling Cynic: Beautiful and Useless, off the Podsafe Music Network)

I discuss the fact that everyone is all giddy over the Democrats winning Congress. While I am happy about this, I do not think much will change at all. Remember Newt Gingrich’s Republican Revolution of 1994? It is all one big cycle. Only you can change the quality of your life.

I express total and absolute disgust that seven states: Virginia, South Carolina, Tennessee,Colorado, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Idaho all voted to ban same-sex marriage.

Even the Bean’s family voted for the same-sex marriage ban!

WHY ISN’T ANYONE TALKING ABOUT THIS? WHY IS NO ONE MAD? C’MON PEOPLE.

South Africa allowed same-sex marriage this week.

I play Jesus Loves Me by Jillian, off the Podsafe Music Network

PizzaBabe ticker-tape parade is this Sunday!

Listen to the ZillaFag Podcast
I was a complete jerk to the Bean this week. I am sorry Bean. (I was really, really nasty)

I share with you my bathroom horror story, which involved law enforcement, during the taping of last week’s podcast.

SATURNcast Shownotes — Rings of Saturn #13

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

Happy day, not!

Hear Rings of Saturn #13 here.

and. . .

have your heard the HALLOcast yet?

I start the show with some very good news:

I was honored to be invited to be a member of the The Freak Network.  Support the Freak Network.  Support independent podcasters.  Don’t let the corporate media dictate what you should think about.

While, I am honored that the PizzaBabe has asked me to join The Freak Network, it in no way changes the fact that she will have her SATURNcast Ticker Tape Parade (sponsored by Depends Underpants) on November 12.

I then begin to pour my heart out to you.

The Bean may have cancer. It was discovered in the very early, early pre-stages. (Thank God) but it means our chances of having biological children are very, very slim.  She is scheduled for surgery on December 6th.

I ramble about my feelings and throw a pity party.

I discuss how that whore Madonna is allowed to adopt without going through any of the normal procedures.

I discuss, how ironic that Apple, censors the word “sperm” to “s***m” on  Itunes.  Aren’t they selling red iPods to promote HIV/AIDS awareness?  Doesn’t it send a wrong message to censor words that need to be discussed in order to educate people about HIV/AIDS?

Bill O’Reilly, Wolf Blitzer, and the “Cheney girls Lynn and Mary drive me crazy.

I appluad Richard Bluestein and his podcast,Yeast Radio for interviewing a person of internatonial importance, Cindy Sheehan.  If more independent podcasters and bloggers did things like this, we could make a real dent on the corporate media.

While Richard Bluestein gave an excellent interview, and I admire Cindy Sheehan, I was very concerened over her answers.

Third PartyUrging people to support irrelevant third party candidates is dangerous and irresponsible. Just ask Al Gore.

Even our good friend, Teddy Roosevelt found forming a viable third party impossible.

The Bean is Down Today

Wednesday, October 25th, 2006

BeanBean is very sad today — and I can not blame her. I feel really bad about it and I wish I had answers and solutions to make her feel better.

But even a genius like me does not have the answers to making a human soul feel well.

Please send some good-thought positive mojo to Saturn.

Maybe that would help.

Batman

I start off today’s show by playing a portion of a September 5, 1950 radio broadcast of Batman’s Mystery Club.

I give a BIG THANK YOU to Rebecca Nay of Tranny Wreck Radio Podcast

I give birthday greetings to the Pizzababe and the Pizzababe podcast.

I love these two shows and they have been very supportive of the SATURNcast. I strongly urge you to subscribe to The Freak Network .

The Freak Network is one stop shopping for Pizza Babe, Tranny Wreck and many other great podcasts.

Send in your scary MP3’s and e-mails to me at saturncast@gmail.com

Or call my voice mail at 206-338-2154

I share with you the Bean and my infertility woes. I discuss how I hate giving sperm samples, share my history of doing it, and how I just gave one at NYU Medical Center.

The Bean and I encounter a very rude, asshole-ish woman on the train ride home. How do you handle rude people? It drives me crazy.

I share the very deep pain, a pain I have been holding for over 300 years. Sir Issac Newton, the publicty whore that he was, outshowed me at a science convention he and I attended in 1725.

Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails is God.

I love my wife the Bean very much. She is my rock! Happy Birthday Jelly Bean!

SATURNcast Shownotes — Rings of Saturn #11

Monday, October 16th, 2006

First off, I want to apologize for the lack of posts recently on the SATURNdiary. I have been traveling quite a bit lately, and thus, the lack of posts. This will change. I am sorry.

I start this show by playing a bit of WWII German Propaganda by Robert Best.

I am very sick today.

Hotel PennsylvaniaI was in Manhattan this week and bought a professional microphone and stand for the podcast. My room on Saturn looks like a radio studio now!

I play a clip of the famous Bean, nagging at me about my new microphone set-up.

While I was in Manhattan, I stayed at the Hotel Pennsylvania. It cost me $275 for the night. IT WAS THE MOST DISGUSTING HOTEL I HAVE EVER BEEN IN. IT HAD BLACK AND GREEN MOLD GROWING ALL OVER THE ROOM. DISGUSTING. They made me sign a wavier before I checked in which said they would charge me if I checked-out of the hotel early. That should have been my sign that things were fishy.

Here is a news article I discovered about how disgusting the Hotel Pennsylvania is.

Glenn Miller immortilized the Hotel Pennsylvania with his hit song “Pennsylvania 6-5000″

Regular listeners to the show know I love Richard Bluestein’s Yeast Radio. I am, however, always amazed that he plugs the corporate news show “Meet the Press.” I was saddened to discover that Meet the Press is a member of Podshow, the same organization that Yeast Radio belongs to. This is not the end of the world, but I wish it was disclosed on Yeast Radio. (Nor do I in anyway wish to imply that I believe Richard Bluestein is profiting off Meet the Press! We could only dream that he was!)
But I am a hypocrite. I would be a member of Podshow or Meet the Press in a New York Minute.

I am weird. Things are going very well for me. It makes me very nervous. I feel a sense of unease. Is the other shoe about to drop? I am addicted to stress.

I share with you the pain that this Wednesday I have to give a sperm sample to my doctor. Bean and I are trying to have children and it isn’t going so well. This has to be the tenth sperm sample I have given to fertility doctors over the past few years. It is a degrading and humliating experience. It feels illegal and dirty.
Why do people who treat children like crap seem to be able to conceive children with no problem. It is God’s cosmic joke.

A special guest star, Mickey Mouse.

I am not so angry today, but I am sick.

PLEASE CALL ME AND LEAVE ME A VOICEMAIL (206-338-2154) What’s up with you not calling?

PizzaBabe PodcastI plug the PIZZABABE podcast. Fantastic show! And support their new project, The Freak Network.

I find rookie pilots who crash into buildings are selfish. What a waste of life.

I love all of you.
